I offer individualized exercise programs designed to strengthen the core, pelvic muscles. The exercises, correctly done, will strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. Although our program is not difficult, as with all types of exercise, correct form and consistency of the regimen make all the difference.

Pelvic Floor or core exercises may be used alone or in conjunction with vaginal weight training, biofeedback and electrical stimulation. Your will need a doctor's order for biofeedback therapy and pelvic floor electrical stimulation, but not to start your physical core fitness program.

Research studies have shown that pelvic floor muscle strength training is a very effective way to treat stress urinary incontinence and other pelvic floor dysfunctions. Cure rates after a regular program of pelvic floor exercise varies between 44% and 69%. Improvement rates are even higher, 90% to 98%. For individuals who are not symptomatic, pelvic floor muscle fitness is a great way to prevent pelvic floor dysfunction.

The central role in treating pelvic floor dysfunction(s) is core or pelvic muscle exercises.
